| State Corrections plans to consolidate two Yakima offices |

YAKIMA, Wash. — The state Department of Corrections is looking to consolidate two of its Yakima offices into one, a move that would affect 22 area employees. Olympia-based DOC spokesman Stephen Gehrke said the state wants to move the Yakima Community Justice Center at 202 W. Yakima Ave. and the east Yakima office at 32 N. Third St. into a single, more modern facility. A third area office at 210 N. Second St. would remain at its current location, Gehrke said. Read More. |
