Cameron inmates charged in two cases |

Inmates in two state corrections facilities in Cameron were charged with committing violence against others in two separate cases filed Monday. Derek Vaughan, 24, originally of Independence, Mo., is facing a charge of committing violence against an employee of the Department of Corrections and Sease Beard, 18, originally of Corder, Mo., faces a charge of committing violence against an offender in the Department of Corrections. Both charges are classified as Class B felonies. According to the Department of Corrections website, Mr. Vaughan is an inmate at Crossroads Correctional Center, serving a 30-year sentence for second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
