Clark County can't get land to build new prison |

CLARK COUNTY (KATV) - The time has run out for Clark County, as officials found out, they can longer throw their name in the ring for our state's next prison location. The deadline to apply is tomorrow, but they couldn't secure the land. The county had two options, one landowner said no, while the other didn't have the required 400 acres to build the prison, which means the possibility of up to 500 jobs coming to Clark County is no longer a reality. “Thank God that it's not coming to Clark County because we didn't need it,” said Clark County NAACP President, Henry Wilson.
