OPELIKA, Alabama — Alabama Department of Corrections officials say an inmate who escaped a work release center in early November has been recaptured. Officials said in an emailed statement that 39-year-old Todd Pike, who escaped the Frank Lee Work Center in Deatsville Nov. 3, was rearrested Wednesday afternoon in Opelika. He and 22-year-old Orrin Chappell both escaped the facility, but Chappell was rearrested in Newnan, Georgia on Nov. 5. Read More. |
