Escaped Ohio prison inmate apprehended after 22 years |

LONDON — Escaped London Correctional Institution inmate Roger Perdue, 71, was apprehended in Kokomo, Indiana on Friday, December 12, 2014. Investigators from the Ohio State Highway Patrol – Cincinnati Operations office received a tip that Perdue and his wife were living in Kokomo, Indiana. He had escaped in March of 1992, after serving five months of a 5 ½ year sentence for grand theft. Troopers worked jointly with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to conduct an investigation and determine the exact whereabouts of Perdue. The investigation determined Perdue was living with his wife under an assumed identity. In the evening hours of Friday, December 12, 2014 information was received leading investigators to believe Perdue was planning to vacate his residence in Kokomo. The Indiana State Police was notified and in conjunction with the Kokomo Police Department, confronted Perdue at his home.
