| Senator, governor trade accusations over prison report |

A state senator is firing back at the governor for his continued characterization of a legislative investigative report as "partisan." Omaha Sen. Steve Lathrop also wants to set the record straight on Gov. Dave Heineman's accusation on a radio talk show that Lathrop was being dishonest when he said he had not received a copy of the 2006 master facilities plan for prisons. Heineman has assailed the work of the committee, beginning in October when the Department of Correctional Services Special Investigative Committee, led by Lathrop, subpoenaed Heineman to testify.
