Two Wisconsin suspects who police say severed their monitoring bracelets and fled in a stolen truck were found Thursday in south Washington County.

Stewart R. Eagleman Jr., 35, a convicted sex offender on lifetime registration, was apprehended along with William D. Hollen, 30, who was on probation for drug and burglary convictions, Cottage Grove police Sgt. Mike McCormick said. Authorities tracked one of their cellphones to Minnesota, ending a three-day search.

Eagleman allegedly took a Dodge pickup truck for a test drive from a Wisconsin car dealership on Tuesday and did not return it. Police in Rice Lake discovered that Eagleman had cut off a GPS monitoring device and left home. They later learned Hollen also had removed his tracking device and was believed to be with Eagleman.
