| New commander takes charge at Franklin County jail |

Now that there’s a new sheriff in Franklin County, there’s a new jail commander too. Steve Sultemeier, 57, a well-respected jail and prison supervisor, is bringing his experience at facilities across the state to lead the Franklin County jail in a new direction. He took over as jail commander at the beginning of the year when new Sheriff Jim Raymond took office. “I believe he possesses the skill set for us to move forward into a brighter future,” Raymond said.
