Prison dogs track down iPad thief

PIMA — The Department of Corrections K-9 unit received some real-world experience during the middle of training Thursday, when the dogs helped Pima Police and Graham County Sheriff’s Office track down a suspected school thief.

Dillon Kelly Jenkins, 23, of Duncan, was arrested and booked into the Graham County Jail on Thursday on charges of possession of stolen property, trafficking stolen property and failure to comply to an officer’s commands.

A Pima officer attempted to contact Jenkins after a citizen, who remembered recent reports of a burglary of 11 iPads from the Pima Elementary School, reported Jenkins attempted to sell him an iPad believed to be stolen, due to the low price.
