A Natchitoches Parish Detention Center correctional officer was treated and released earlier this month after an inmate allegedly threw urine into the officer's face, according to the release. The incident happened as evening dinner was being served to inmates in a dormitory. A Department of Corrections inmate, 39-year-old Brian Mark McMillian, threw a container of urine into the officer's face, according to a Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office release. The warden and supervisors were notified, and the officer was treated by nursing staff at the center. The officer then had lab work done at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center before being released.
