| South Carolina prison on lockdown after incident |

LEE COUNTY, SC (WLTX) - Lee Correctional Institution, the maximum security prison located near Bishopville, is on lockdown following an incident Thursday. So far, the Department of Corrections has not released information on what's going on inside the prison or what led to the incident. Armed guards could be seen standing on the roof of the prison and walking on the grounds for much of the afternoon. Several law enforcement vehicles could be seen entering the facility with their sirens and lights on. Read More. |
