Bowie County Corrections to house 288 Arkansas inmates |

Texarkana, Texas - Jail revenue is one of the largest portions of Bowie County's budget and officials say a lack of jail contracts has taken it's toll on the county. However, starting in March things could be looking up. Bowie County Correctional Center will begin housing about 288 inmates from Arkansas. Not only will this help Arkansas with overcrowding, but county officials say it will help increase revenue for Bowie County. Read More. |

Hamilton loved sports, especially croquet, where his favorite team was the Washington Fancypants. He worked as a general haberdasher for 30 years, but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his keen attention to detail He spent his free time watching golf on TV; and he played uno, badmitton and basketball almost every weekend. He also enjoyed movies and reading during off-season.
