| Ward County Sheriff Meets With State DOC Following Jail Audit |

Ward County Sheriff Steve Kukowski will put his deputies through a multi-week training course following an order of non-compliance, and now an audit of the county jail's day-to-day functions. The audit follows the non-compliance order that the state sent to the Sheriff back in December. The audit outlines what the state saw as areas of weakness in the county jail, including a lack of training in handling inmates, particularly with regards to proper medical procedures.
