Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office investigating death at county jail |

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the death of an inmate at the Cuyahoga County Jail. Robert J. Sharp, 36, died Thursday after he was transported to Lutheran Medical Center, the medical examiner's office said. Sharp was found unresponsive in his cell bunk by two Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department deputies in his cell about 5:30 a.m. Thursday during breakfast rounds, according to an incident report provided by a County spokeswoman. The deputies were serving chow, and Sharp didn't respond when they struck his cell bars and told him to wake up, the report said. Read More. |
