YADKINVILLE — A Yadkin County inmate was discovered dead in his cell Sunday, according to a release from the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office. John Trenton Smith, 39, was housed in a single cell away transport to the North Carolina Department of Corrections. The discovery of his body was made around 4 a.m. Sunday, according to officials.
