MCCORMICK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three corrections officers were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries after they were assaulted by inmates, a South Carolina Corrections spokeswoman said Monday night. At least two of the officers were stabbed, according to Stephanie Givens, director of communications for the state department of corrections. Givens said authorities are investigating what led to the incident. She said she didn't immediately know if the facility was still on lockdown.
