Corrections data: 750 former prisoners return to Chatham each year |

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Roughly one out of every three people released from prison in Georgia will end up back behind bars within three years, according to data compiled by the Governor's Office. And in Chatham County alone, on average, 750 people return home from prison every single year. What happens next was the subject of today's NAACP meeting at St. John Baptist Church in Savannah.
