1 offender still missing from Dept. of Correction; 1 located |

One man turned himself in, but the Department of Correction is still searching for another offender who didn’t return after his work release, a spokesman said Thursday. Steven Bennett, 32, of Elkton, Maryland, turned himself back in to Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington Thursday night after failing to return after his work release program, Spokesman Jason Miller said. Bennett is currently serving a sentence of level 4 work release, a transition program aimed at getting offenders ready for life outside of prison, for violating probation after he was convicted for attempted theft and burglary. But Anthony Morales, 27, of Wilmington, who did not return to Morris Community Corrections Center in Dover on July 17, is still missing, Miller added. Read More. |
