| Wyoming Inmate Broomfield dies in Wyoming Medium Correctional Facility |

Torrington – Bruce Allen Broomfield, a Wyoming inmate, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington, Wyoming, after a brief illness. Broomfield was sentenced on December 1, 2014 by Laramie County District Court Judge Steven K. Sharpe. He was serving concurrent (at the same time) sentences of 3-5 years for the offense of Strangulation of a Household Member Nose and Mouth and 3-5 years for the offense of Aggravated Assault and Battery-Threatens with Weapon. Broomfield was born on July 21, 1962, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. As per departmental policy an autopsy has been ordered. |
