Inmate Escapes From Oklahoma Prison |

A man considered by authorities to be armed and dangerous escaped from the minimum-security Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center on Thursday. According to the Leflore County Sheriff’s Department, the inmate is Bobby Lee Murphy, 31. He is described as a white male, 6 foot 1 inch tall and 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has many tattoos that include flames, skulls, clowns and a swastika, according to the Sheriff’s Department. Anyone with information is urged to call the Oklahoma Department of Corrections at (918) 653-7831 or the Sheriff’s Department at (918) 647-2317. The minimum-security prison is located in the unincorporated community of Hodgen. In June, inmate Brannon E. Vonholt, 23, briefly escaped while taking out garbage to a Dumpster shortly after head count, authorities said at the time.
