DANNEMORA, NY —Prison officials have confirmed with WPTZ that the Clinton Correctional Facility is on lockdown until further notice. The State Department of Corrections is not saying much about the reason for the lockdown. In a statement, the department said they "took proactive steps to lock down the facility to ensure the safety of staff and others." The statement went on to say "the facility is expected to return to normal sometime next week." Read More. |
