| N.J. prison inmate taken to hospital after assault |

CHESTERFIELD - A state inmate was seriously injured during an apparent assault Sunday evening at the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility, the state Department of Corrections said Monday. The inmate was found in his cell at about 11:55 p.m. Sunday and taken to a local hospital. The inmate's condition and the hospital was not immediately made public. The inmate was found in his cell, needing medical attention from an alleged assault, the department said. The corrections' Special Investigations Division is investigating the incident. Read More. |
