Police: Woman tried to smuggle drugs to prisoner husband at local prison |

APANOCH -- A Brooklyn woman was arrested Saturday for trying to smuggle amphetamines to her husband in Eastern Correctional Facility, state police say. Cynthia Ulett-Holmes, 53, is charged with first-degree promotions prison contraband, a felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. State police say the arrest came after they and the state Department of Corrections conducted an investigation into contraband by a visitor at the maximum security state prison.
