AG Scott Pruitt talks Colorado lawsuit and DOC investigation |

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt visited Oklahoma State University Monday, sharing his views on the importance of rule of law and his concerns about government over-reach at the federal and state levels. Pruitt also explained why he filed suit against the state of Colorado and talked about why concerns over execution procedures prompted him to request stays of execution for state prisoners scheduled to be put to death. As a self-proclaimed federalist, Pruitt has expressed his views about the federal government being limited to powers specifically granted by the Constitution and the importance of protecting the rights of states. Because he feels that way, his decision to join the attorney general of Nebraska in suing Colorado over the state’s legalization of marijuana wasn’t easy. Read More. |
