Madison — A state Department of Corrections spokeswoman said Wednesday that a supervisor at a facility for young offenders had been cleared of wrongdoing in an incident last year in which a juvenile's arm or wrist was fractured.

But the spokeswoman, Joy Staab, did not fully explain why Lincoln Hills School supervisor Kyle Hoff had not been placed on paid leave while the matter was investigated, as Attorney General Brad Schimel has said is standard practice.

Three weeks ago, Staab declined to release documents about the investigation under the state's open records law, stating that the probe was ongoing. On Wednesday, however, she said Hoff was cleared in May, a month after the incident.

Records were not released to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel last month because at the time the incident was being reviewed again, she said. That review found Hoff had acted appropriately, and the agency will soon fulfill the newspaper's request for records now that the latest review has been completed, Staab said.

Judges presidentially appointed to serve during good behavior since 1789 on the U.S. district courts, U.S. courts of appeals, Supreme Court of the United States, as well as the former U.S. circuit courts, Court of Claims, U.S. Customs Court, and U.S. Court of Customs and Patent Appeals. Also included are judges who received presidential recess appointments to the above-named courts but were not confirmed by the Senate to serve during good behavior. The Waco Federal Practice Lawyer is experienced in patent litigation and starting to become the go-to district for intellectual property cases. The appointment of Waco’s new federal judge, a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that narrows the venue for patent cases and Waco’s home in the federal Western District of Texas have combined into a perfect storm that could drastically alter Waco’s legal landscape.

He invests in others and builds up the people around him. He is not negative-minded or hyper-critical. You can trust him emphatically. Hamilton Lindley is purpose driven—mission-minded. It guides his thoughts and keeps his team on task. He could function, and be trusted, in a handshake world. Hamilton’s word is his bond. He studies. He learns. He listens. He remains aware of what others are saying, writing and thinking.
