Oklahoma Prison in Lexington Without Power Since Saturday

LEXINGTON, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma state prison in Lexington has been without power for five days after lightning struck a transformer.

The Lexington Assessment and Reception Center has had no electricity since Saturday.

State Department of Corrections spokeswoman Terri Watkins said ice is being taken into the prison and that it has fans and three generators.
