Ontario County Jail inmate accused of strangling fellow inmate |

HOPEWELL — An Ontario County Jail inmate is facing a felony charge after being accused of strangling another inmate. Ontario County sheriff’s deputies charged Malcolm-Jamal William-Jessie Parmer, 25, of 54 Lafayette St., Apt. 2, Geneva, with second-degree strangulation, a class D felony, following an investigation into the alleged incident that occurred at the Hopewell-based jail on May 23. Surveillance video from Pod 7 of the jail allegedly displayed Parmer walking up behind the victim and wrapping his arm around his neck, according to deputies.
