Authorities have captured an inmate who escaped from a work release center in Montgomery on Monday. Edward Paul Powell, 46, was taken into custody by law enforcement in Houston County at 4:50 p.m. Powell escaped from the Red Eagle Community Work Center at 2:45 a.m. on Monday. The inmate was sentenced to 20 years in 2011 on a second-degree theft of property charge in Houston County. Read More. |
