Authorities searching for 3 inmates who escaped Louisiana jail |

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Natchitoches Police in Louisiana are searching for three Department of Corrections inmates who escaped from the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center on Saturday night, the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. According to Natchitoches Parish Chief of Corrections Calvin McFerrin, the three inmates apparently escaped from Dorm “B” at approximately 10:16 p.m., then jumped over two rolls of razor wire fence. The escaped inmates have been identified as Michael Elliot, 24, Walshea Mitchell, 35, and Willie E. Ethridge, 34. Elliot was serving time until 2019 for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, and Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Mitchell was serving time until 2035 for Armed Robbery with a Weapon and Attempted Armed Robbery, and Etheridge was serving time until 2037 for 1-count of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and 2-counts of Armed Robbery.
