Corrections budget proposal would add 164.5 positions |

Prisons Director Scott Frakes turned in his long-anticipated request for state funding Thursday, his first such proposal. Frakes is asking Gov. Pete Ricketts and the Legislature for an increase of $15.3 million in state general funds, and 164.5 Corrections worker positions in the next two fiscal years. Combined with other funds, including money for construction projects, the total rises to $54 million over the two fiscal years of 2017-18 and 2018-19. Read More. |
