Inmate who set Tallassee store on fire escapes from Elmore County center |

An inmate serving a 13-year sentence for second-degree arson escaped from a center in Elmore County on Thursday, the Alabama Department of Corrections announced. Dylan Keith Carroll, 24, escaped from Frank Lee Youth Center in Deatsville at 7:30 p.m. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing white pants and shirt. Carroll was 17 years old when he stole multiple items, including clothing, a check book and jewelry, from a store in Tallassee in November 2009, according to court records. After taking the items, Carroll used gas to set the store on fire. He was sentenced on Aug. 4, 2015. Read More. |
