Orleans Parish inmate escapes from Municipal Court Tuesday, Sheriff's Office says |

The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for an inmate who escaped from Municipal Court Tuesday afternoon. Around 1 p.m., a Municipal Court deputy found an OPSO-issued jumpsuit and slippers belonging to Terrance Jacques, 25, in a second-floor hallway. The deputy alerted supervisors, who conducted another roll call, which was short by one, OPSO said in a news release. In addition to the municipal attachment, Jacques was being held in the Orleans Justice Center on charges of illegal possession of stolen property and criminal trespass. He faces an additional charge of simple escape once he is located, OPSO said. Read More. |
