On Oct. 14, 2016, Bent County Correctional Facility (BCCF) celebrated its 20th anniversary with Corrections Corporation of America (CCA). Attending the event were Colorado Department of Corrections personnel, county commissioners, City of Las Animas Sheriff's Office, Las Animas City Council, Las Animas Chamber of Commerce, Las Animas Schools, people from the community and BCCF's own employees.
