| Corrections Officer assaulted at Tecumseh Prison |

The Department of Corrections says Wednesday an inmate at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) assaulted a staff member. They say the inmate struck the staff member in the head and face. Officials say it assault occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. in a staff office on a housing unit. The staff member was able to exit the office and call for assistance. The staff member sought medical treatment, they say, and was treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries. Read More. |
