A Benton County jail inmate has been charged after detectives he made up a story about being assaulted by a Rogers police officer. Patrick Lewis Hubbard, 43, of Springdale was originally arrested November 2nd on an outstanding warrant out of Rogers. On November 28th, the BCSO received a message from Hubbard that he had been sexually assaulted and had a gun held to his head by the arresting officer. After speaking to Hubbard, detectives determined that he fabricated the story in an attempt to identify the officer because he didn't believe the officer had arresting authority. Hubbard is being held on a $20,000 bond for his original charges of robbery and theft. He will be arraigned for his new charges of filing a false report on January 9th, 2017. Read More. |
