Public safety careers are known for their physical and mental stresses, but unlike police officers, firefighters and paramedics, correction officers deal with the punishing demands of the job largely out of the public consciousness. At Osborn Correctional Institution on Tuesday, correction officers filtered through the vendors at a wellness fair talking about fitness goals, injuries and other health topics with providers from around the region.
