BURLINGTON CITY - A man gunned down on a city street Saturday night had been released from state custody three days earlier, records show. Eric Thomas II, 30, of Eastampton, who was accused of drowning a man during a fight in December 2012, was fatally shot around 10:40 p.m. near East Broad and Library streets in Burlington City, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
