2 escaped Decatur Work Release inmates caught, 1 at large |

Two of three inmates who escaped Monday through a fence at the Decatur Work Release Center were apprehended, according to authorities, but one with Morgan County ties remained at large late Tuesday. James Brent Brown, 49, who was convicted in 1998 of manslaughter, had not been caught as of Tuesday evening, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections, which operates the work release center. Michael Ray Morrison, 45, and Jonathan Keith Kennedy, 38, were apprehended at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hospitality Park. All three escaped from the work release center on Alabama 20 sometime before a 7:30 p.m. headcount at the facility Monday, according to the Department of Corrections. Read More. |
