FLORENCE – Lauderdale County District Judge Carole Medley said an incident that occurred in her courtroom Monday was a lesson learned. “It just shows how fast something can happen in a courtroom that is usually very well controlled by the corrections officers,” Medley said Tuesday. “You can never let your guard down.” Tommy Ray Blevins, 40, Locke Six Road, Killen, was in Medley’s courtroom with four other inmates around 2:30 p.m. Monday for a hearing on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton said Blevins became disorderly and had to be restrained by corrections officers. Read More. |
