Inmate accused of threatening staff faces new charges |

A Southwest Arkansas Community Corrections Center inmate who allegedly threatened to kill a staff Captain before spitting in her face is facing new felony charges in Miller County. Alex Dodson, 35, was reportedly involved in a verbal confrontation Feb. 2 with another inmate on the third floor of the Texarkana, Ark., center on Walnut Street that led to a call for staff to intervene, according to an arrest affidavit. When Capt. Vicki Walker arrived, Dodson allegedly told her to leave and refused to comply with the center’s “code of silence.” Dodson allegedly threatened to come to Walker’s house, kill her and “blow her head off,” when released. While officers attempted to place Walker in handcuffs, he allegedly threw a gang sign and continued to be verbally threatening. While exiting the elevator, Dodson allegedly had to be subdued by another staff member when he attempted to “charge,” the captain. Read More. |
