Missing inmate captured in Charlotte |

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Corrections and law enforcement officers captured an inmate who left his work release job site Monday afternoon. Brian Sweeting, 44, was seen leaving Ruth's Salads in Charlotte Monday. He was later taken into custody at a Harvey's supermarket on Ashley Road a little after 8 p.m. Sweeting, is a minimum-custody inmate assigned to Gaston Correctional Center in Gastonia. He is serving a six-year sentence for drug trafficking and possession of stolen goods and was due for release in June 2018. Read More. |
