| Inmate death at Spartanburg jail investigated |

The death of an inmate at the Spartanburg County jail Tuesday afternoon is under investigation. Ronald Jason Ball, 47, of Shaw Road in Woodruff, was pronounced brain dead at 2:14 p.m., Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said in a statement. Ball, who qualifies for organ donation, is on life support while an organ procurement agency investigates potential recipients, Clevenger said. Read More. |
