Moon Martin died May 17 after his cellmates reported he was unresponsive and showed signs of labored breathing in his bunk in the main jail annex housing. He died of pulmonary edema and decreased pulmonary function related to an allergic reaction, according to Yakima County Coroner Jack Hawkins.

Although it is not known what caused the allergic reaction, Hawkins said the heroin, the antidepressant, the combination or some other unknown contaminant could have caused it.
