BROOKSVILLE — A Hernando County inmate who escaped from his assigned work detail on Wednesday has been taken into custody. Deputies say Joshua Holmes, 35, was arrested a day after he left the Northwest Solid Waste Management Facility, on Norris Bishop Loop, without permission about noon Wednesday, according to a press release by the agency.
