|NDCS: Inmate starts fire in cell at LCC|
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews along with the Nebraska State Patrol responded to a report of a confirmed fire at the Lincoln Correctional Center (LCC) Wednesday evening.
The call came in just before 6:20 p.m.
A spokesperson for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) said an inmate in restrictive housing at Lincoln Correctional Center (LCC) lit a fire in his cell.
NDCS said staff were able to respond immediately and put out the fire. The inmate was removed from the cell and the fire did not cause any damage or go beyond where the fire started.
