Inmate jumps from bus on Turnpike in Palm Beach County |

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS 12) — A male inmate is in critical condition at Delray Beach Medical Center after jumping from a moving bus on the Florida Turnpike. Sgt. Mark Wysocky with the Florida Highway Patrol says the inmate was on a bus headed back to Florida City in Miami-Dade County. The group of inmates evacuated South Florida ahead of Hurricane Irma. Troopers say the bus was just south of the Turnpike Service Plaza near Lake Worth Road in Palm Beach County Monday afternoon, when the inmate managed to jump out of a bus window, tumbling onto the road.
