| Detention deputy stops inmate's suicide attempt |

SAN ANTONIO -- A Bexar County Sheriff's Office detention deputy stopped an inmate who was attempting to commit suicide at the Bexar County Detention Center Thursday. A news release states the 28-year-old male inmate was being held on a "Domestic Violence/Choking - Strangulation charge" and was attempting to hang himself in a bathroom stall in the booking area, when the deputy interrupted him. The sheriff's office said the inmate was taken by EMS to a hospital at around 8:00 a.m. and remains in "undetermined condition." Read More. |
