|Inmate now faces contraband charge|
A Cumberland County Jail inmate jailed recently on a probation violation warrant and on an indictment charging felonies now faces an additional charge after marijuana was discovered in the Justice Center facility.
Freddie Mitchell Thompson, 46, no address available, was arrested last week on a probation violation warrant from General Sessions Court and on a four-count indictment charging forgery. He was being held in lieu of $20,750 bond.
Tuesday jail officials were notified that there was the presence of drugs in the men’s section of the jail and K-9 Deputy Zach Gilpin was called to the Justice Center to have his dog check the area.
