|Man, 2 women arrested at Kilby Correctional Facility|
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
The Alabama Department of Corrections has arrested three people at Kilby Correctional Facility and charged them with possession of a controlled substance and attempting to smuggle contraband into the prison.
Christopher Martin Wilson, 28, of Fayetteville and Shiane Bambinelli, 21, of Leeds, were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit a controlled substance on Monday. Wilson also was charged with second-degree promoting contraband.
A third suspect, Kelsey Smith, 21, of Winfield, was arrested for conspiracy to commit a controlled substance.
ADOC officials said correctional officers at the Montgomery County facility reported a person on foot just beyond the prison's perimeter fence and along the woodline around 3 a.m. Monday. A K-9 unit was dispatched to the area where Wilson surrendered without incident.
