Miller County lawmen save life of inmate who attempted suicide |

Detention deputies with the Miller County Sheriff’s Office prevented a tragedy by saving an inmate’s life recently. At 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, Sgt. Alan Sanders was conducting a security check. During the check Sergeant Sanders located a male inmate hanging in his cell by a bed sheet. The inmate was turning blue from the lack of air. The detention center emergency protocol was immediately initiated. Cpl. Don Rodgers, Cpl. Richard Henderson, and LVN Chelsea Foster responded and assisted in rescuing and treating the inmate.
